Many of the answers to these questions can be found on your medical plan's website, or on the website of the medical group (or groups) to which your doctor belongs. Medical groups in Santa Barbara area include:

  • Cottage Hospital – UC Care members- Please do not assume all providers at Cottage Hospital are UC Select Tier 1, check Anthems provider directory to confirm if provider is UC Select Tier 1, Tier 2 Anthem Preferred or out-of-network prior to booking appointments.
  • Anthem Doctor directory

Medical Group Affiliation: If you belong to an HMO, your Primary Care Physician will usually refer you to physicians in the same group. This information is only a general guide. There may be more pertinent information you should consider prior to choosing your doctor on the health plan provider directory website.
