Dear UCSB Business Officers, OACIS Submitters & Reviewers, and UCPath WFA Initiators & Approvers,

Thank you to everyone who attended, either in person or via Zoom, any of the sessions for the first of three topics about UCPath Talent Acquisition Manager (TAM). 

As we’ve communicated before, TAM is the new module in UCPath that hiring managers will use to perform staple recruitment functions for staff non-student hiring.

Introduction to TAM Series

To prepare for the transition to TAM, we began to host a series of three topics throughout February, March, and April.

Register for the next two topics in the series via the UC Learning Center (tip: Enter “TAM” with quotes in the search field). There will be multiple sessions for the remaining topics: Submitting Hires From TAM and Preparing for Go-Live. We encourage hiring managers to attend one of each topic.

Update: Due to current circumstances, we’ve made changes to our TAM Information Session schedule.

Only the sessions with a Zoom option will be held. We will cancel the remaining in-person sessions, all remaining sessions will be held exclusively on Zoom. Please see the updated schedule and logistics below.

If you plan to attend via Zoom, please register in the UC Learning Center to allow us to track attendance. We will provide a recording of each topic afterward (see below for the Topic 1 materials).

Stay tuned for future announcements regarding official TAM training, which is planned for April and May, and OACIS/TAM system cutover dates.

Topic 1: Introduction to the TAM Project & Process

If you were not able to attend any of the TAM Topic 1 sessions, you can watch a recording and view the PowerPoint presentation, located at ucpath.ucsb.edu.

Topic 2: Submitting Hires from TAM

This topic will provide a deeper introduction to TAM’s Prepare for Hire component, replacing the template base hire (TBH) process — including submitting background checks, hiring data entry requirements, common hiring scenarios, and UCPC process fulfillment considerations.

Who should attend?

• Business officers and OACIS submitters and reviewers
• UCPath WFA initiators and approvers responsible for processing the hiring of staff (non-students), if only to understand the impact of TAM on current hiring practices

This topic aims to increase understanding of the approach and process to transition from OACIS to UCPath TAM, including system role and access transitions, processing deadlines, transaction closeout, and other related readiness considerations.
