Facts about the Career Tracks (CT) structure:
- 16 CT grades vs. 18 legacy grades
- Salary grades and base midpoint structure established by UC Office of the President
- Midpoints adjusted at each campus to reflect differences in cost of labor for the geographic area (10% for SB)
- Midpoints set around market medians (public, private sector, and higher education data sources)
- CT salary ranges became effective May 1, 2018
- Career Tracks did not affect an employees’ current salary, working title, job duties or job functions
