California's Higher Education Employer-Employee Relations Act (HEERA) gives UC employees the right to decide whether or not they want to unionize and have collective bargaining as the sole means of determining their wages, hours and other terms and conditions of employment. There are fourteen collective bargaining units (CBU) on the UC Santa Barbara campus. If you have questions about union dues, please contact your union representative.
