RE: Chancellor's Staff Advisory Council (CSAC), Call for Nomination
The Chancellor's Staff Advisory Council (CSAC) seeks to solicit nominations representative of the entire campus staff population across all departments, classifications, ethnicities, genders, and identities to serve, effective September 2022.
Council Charge:
The Council actively researches and identifies UCSB staff matters and reports these matters directly to the Chancellor. The council also provides advisory services to the Chancellor and other senior administrators on potential staff solutions regarding campus procedures, and both short and long-range plans pertinent to staff.
The Council consists of 20 nominated career staff employees, and non-voting representatives from the Chancellor’s Office, HR, and Staff Assembly. The CSAC Nominations Committee will forward the nominations to the Chancellor for final endorsement.
Members serve 3-year terms. CSAC meets on the second Thursday of each month. Members are expected to attend and contribute to monthly meetings in order to maintain membership and participate actively on a CSAC committee and all CSAC-sponsored events, including Staff Celebration Week. Immediate supervisor approval is required.

The nomination form may be used for both self-nominations and nominations submitted in support of an individual. If you (or any of your colleagues) have a particular interest and are enthusiastic and prepared to serve, please complete the nomination form by February 17, 2023.
