**Please Note: This memo is directed to all staff (non-student) employees who do NOT have a special user account (i.e. Preparer, Submitter) in Job Builder.**

Dear Campus Colleagues,

The Compensation Unit of Human Resources is pleased to announce a new job description system called Job Builder that can be accessed by all staff (non-student) employees. 

SYSTEM FEATURES:
Job Builder will allow you to:

• View, print and/or download a copy of your job description.

• View, print and/or download job descriptions for your direct and indirect reports (if applicable).

• View a list of the employees who report directly or indirectly to you (if applicable).

• Acknowledge receipt of your job description online upon hire or whenever a change is approved.

• View the Career Tracks Job Standards.

• View the Career Tracks Job Standards matrix.

Job Builder uses single sign-on technology and multi-factor authentication to allow you to log in.

WHERE TO GO FOR HELP:

1. If you have trouble logging in, please contact UCSB Identity Management.

2. If you’ve logged in and can’t see your job description, please contact your supervisor. It may still need to be uploaded.

3. If you have trouble navigating/using the system, please refer to the user guides and the recorded training on the HR/Compensation website.

4. If you’re still having trouble navigating/using the system, please submit a ticket via HR/ServiceNow (select Classification & Compensation > General Questions) and your question will get directed to the Compensation Analyst that supports your department.
