RE:    Important Updates to UC's Mandatory Employment Notices/Posters

Three new notices have been added to the UCnet Mandatory Employment Notices/Posters website that are effective immediately.  

Rights of Victims of Domestic Violence Notice 

The University of California has issued a 1-page notice to be provided to all new employees, as well as current employees upon request, to inform them of their rights to take time off as a result of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking.  This notice is in accordance with AB 2337.  Additionally PPSM 2.210: Absence from Work policy outlines accommodations for non-represented staff to take time away from work if they are a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking. 

Department Heads, Managers, Supervisors, MSOs, and Administrative Assistants:  Please take steps to incorporate this 1-page notice into your existing new hire processes to ensure that new hires receive this information.  This is a new notice.  Please post a copy of this notice alongside the mandatory employment notices/posters displayed in departments and designated work areas. 

Transgender Rights in the Workplace

This is a new notice.  Please post a copy of this notice alongside the mandatory employment notices/posters displayed in departments and designated work areas. 

Safety and Health Protection on the Job (Updated October 2017)

This is an update to an existing notice/poster.  Look for the updated version on the UCnet Mandatory Employment Notices/Posters website under the CAL/OSHA Notice of Safety and Health in the Workplace-California.  Please remove any older versions of the “Safety and Health Protection on the Job” notice that have been posted and replace with the revised version.

Please print and post these notices alongside the mandatory employment notices/posters displayed in departments and designated work areas.
