RE: HR Update on Implementing Administrative Pay in Response to the Effects of the Thomas Fire
In anticipation of the continuing impacts of the Thomas Fire due to the winter storm event forecasted for this evening for the Santa Barbara area, Human Resources is confirming that the prior guidelines for implementing paid emergency leave remain in effect for this event.

Staff residing in the evacuation zones or impacted by road closures preventing them from reporting to work should contact their supervisor or department head for assistance and to discuss their work status. Department managers are encouraged to exercise maximum flexibility for staff who are experiencing hardships as a result of this ongoing situation.
Departments with questions regarding staff who are impacted in the evacuation zones and requesting assistance or who are unable to report to work due to road closures should contact Farfalla Borah, Employee & Labor Relations Manager, at extension 4482.
