Retired UC Santa Barbara faculty or staff members who are no longer paid employees of UC are eligible for a blue emeritus/a or retiree ID card. Contact the Emeriti-Retirees Center Coordinator to request a new or replacement ID card. An electronic version (pdf) is available. You will need an ID card to procure a library card or free parking permit.

Reporting the Death of a Retiree
When a UC retiree dies, you should notify the University of California as soon as possible by calling the UC Retirement Administration Service Center's (RASC) Survivor Intake Unit at 1-888-825-6833. This is RASC's dedicated support team for survivors and beneficiaries of UC employees and retirees. You will be asked for the deceased's date of death and your contact information.

Recreation Department
Retired faculty and staff are eligible for a UC Santa Barbara Recreation Membership at the discounted current faculty/staff rate. You must apply in person in order to receive the discount. Bring your Emeriti or Retiree ID card and a photo ID to the Cashiers office located in the Rec Cen Building to sign up for membership.

Transportation & Parking Services
Retired UC Santa Barbara faculty and staff who are not on pay status are eligible for free campus parking. Bring your Emeriti or Retiree ID card and a photo ID to Parking Services located in Building 381 next to Caesar Uyesaka Stadium. Information about obtaining or renewing a permit and parking areas is available at the Parking Office or online. Please note that all Emeriti and Retirees parking permits expire annually at the end of December.

Other UCSB Discounts
Discounted tickets to Magic Mountain, Universal Studios, Legoland and Knott's Berry Farm are available at the Associated Students Ticket office to all Emeriti and Retirees. (Please note, discounts to most on-campus activities and concerts are restricted to current students only.) The ticket office is located at the University Center near the Corwin Pavilion.
