The Work/Life Office offers Dual Career Services to assist new, relocating faculty, academic, and staff hires with employment services for their accompanying spouses/domestic partners.
The services available through UCSB Dual Career Services include:
- Information about faculty, academic and staff job openings at UCSB
- Information about job openings with Santa Barbara County employers
- Current information about the local hiring market (UCSB Economic Forecast Project)
- Referrals for informational interviewing both at UCSB and in the community
- Information on Southern California web site for careers in higher education
- Non-employment information of interest such as real estate and school information
- Support and advice on resumes, cover letters, and interviewing techniques
- Additional resources and reference materials
Services are offered to the spouses/domestic partners of relocating new staff or academic hires. Clients can utilize UCSB Dual Career Services at any point in the recruitment or relocation process, and for up to one year after relocation. Spouses/partners needing employment/relocation services should contact the Work/Life Office and provide a current resume or curriculum vita.
These services will be coordinated through the Work/Life Office in conjunction with Human Resources Employment and Academic Personnel.
