RE: Restricted Gift Funds and Endowed Chair Funds
Following is recently updated information concerning restricted gift funds in relation to the Furlough/Salary Reduction program.
Individuals paid on endowments (fund numbers 34100-39799) and restricted gift funds (fund numbers 40000-56999) will not be participating in the Furlough/ Salary Reduction program. Because these funds were not on the original table of excluded fund sources for the system update done last week, furlough reduction lines for these funds were added in PPS. Instructions for reversing the PPS system update for these individuals will be sent to Departmental PPS preparers shortly. The table of excluded funds has been updated and can be found on the "Excluded Research and Extramural Funds Table" link at http://hr.ucsb.edu/budget/Furlough-Salary-Reduction-Plan.php.
Restricted gift funds and endowed chair funds that can be used for research support may also be used for the faculty Furlough Exchange Program.
