Prior to proceeding with the hiring process, please consider the following:
- Have you considered persons on the preferential rehire list, if applicable, prior to proceeding with other interviews?
- Have you considered the diversity of you applicant pool according to the Affirmative Action goals and diversity objectives of the university?
- Have the selected interview candidates been reviewed and approved by the recruiter prior to scheduling interviews?
- Have you prepared interview questions that will be consistently used for overall candidate assessment?
- Have you discussed the reference check process with the Employment Representative prior to checking references?
- Have you completed an online Applicant Evaluation for each candidate interviewed?
- Have you noted the preferred start date on the Hiring Proposal?
- Have you consulted with the Employment Representative regarding any above minimum salary issues prior to the job offer?
- Have you discussed with Employment Representative any requests for travel reimbursement, if applicable?
- Have you retained names/addresses of candidates interviewed for sending response letters to those not selected for hire or requested that automatic emails be sent through the Employment System?
