MONTHLY WEDNESDAY PROGRAMS
The Retiree Breakfast Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at IHOP on Calle Real and Turnpike. Breakfast and speaker start at 9:00 A.M. The cost for breakfast is $8 plus tip.
January 16 - Our speaker will be a representative from the American Red Cross. We will learn about preparedness for seniors. Come and learn how you can best be ready for a disaster.
February 20 - President of the Retiree Association, Barbara Anderson, will show us her slide show and talk to us about her recent trip to Turkey!
March 19- Our March is speaker a representative from the senior programs of the YMCA. There is an abundance of classes and information geared towards senior citizens right here in Santa Barbara.
April 16- Come and hear Dr. Helen Gordon, one of our retirees, who will speak about the books she has authored and her publishing business of educational books and games.
May 21- Our board member Donn Miller, will speak about his travels to the Holy Mt. of Greece and tell the story of one of our own Santa Barbara Scholarship recipients.
June 18 is our annual potluck BBQ at 12:00 for a time to socialize and then eating a delicious BBQ at 12:30 in the Elks Lodge picnic area. Retirees who are paid members can attend this fun potluck event FREE. We will have tri-tip and chicken to compliment your wonderful side dishes. Invitations to be mailed out soon.
UCSB Retiree Association Holiday Party
Our annual holiday luncheon was a great success. Once again, held at the Elks Club in Goleta, this holiday event was met by great food and even better company.
The Treble Clefs sang several beautiful holiday songs during lunch for our enjoyment.
