Constantine Panuzio Distinguished Emeriti Award
Garrett Haring in 1994, and Robert O. Collins, in 2007, both from UCSB, were the recognized as winners of the Constantine Panuzio Distinguished Emeriti Award.
The 2008 Panuzio Award, administered by UCLA Graduate Division is currently underway.

Emeriti Luncheon
On October 13, at the Emeriti Fall Luncheon, our very own Ursula Mahlendorf's speech on writing a memoir was well received by all.
The Spring 2008 Emeriti Luncheon will be held at the Faculty Club on Saturday April 12 at 11:30am for social hour/registration and lunch/speaker at noon. The speaker will be our very own Professor Emeritus Howard Clarke from the Classics Department! His speech is entitled, "Professor on Board: Revelations of a Cruise Ship Lecturer". Professor Clarke will enlighten us on the problem of offering accurate information about classical antiquity within the special and often incompatible world of cruise ship entertainment.
