The Compensation and Classification Unit assists Managers and Supervisors with:- General advice and consultation regarding compensation and classification policy, such as FLSA, overtime, compensatory time, limited appointment rules, temporary stipends, supervisory designations and CBU wage agreements
- Classification of new positions, reclassification of existing positions and administration of employment contracts
- Using OACIS to create, update and reclassify job descriptions
- Review and approval of Equity Increases
- Helping a new supervisor or manager understand what his or her compensation and classification responsibilities are
