CNT Advisory Committee Mission
The CNT Advisory Committee’s role is to advise and consult with Human Resources regarding proposed reclassification reviews for CNT positions.
Specifically, their charge is to:
- Review the job description in order to help HR understand the job duties and technical terms relative to the appropriate classification level.
- Review supplemental documents in order to help HR understand the technical, scope and organizational issues relative to the appropriate classification level.
- Advise HR on the appropriate classification level given their review of all materials submitted, any supplemental questionnaires and the overall campus IT structure.
Their charge is not to:
- Make the final decision regarding a classification level.
- Interact directly with the employees being proposed for reclassification, unless the committee feels such contact is essential to understanding the reclass documents.
