CNT Advisory Committee Mission

The CNT Advisory Committee’s role is to advise and consult with Human Resources regarding proposed reclassification reviews for CNT positions. 

Specifically, their charge is to:

  1. Review the job description in order to help HR understand the job duties and technical terms relative to the appropriate classification level.
  2. Review supplemental documents in order to help HR understand the technical, scope and organizational issues relative to the appropriate classification level.
  3. Advise HR on the appropriate classification level given their review of all materials submitted, any supplemental questionnaires and the overall campus IT structure.

Their charge is not to:

  1. Make the final decision regarding a classification level.
  2. Interact directly with the employees being proposed for reclassification, unless the committee feels such contact is essential to understanding the reclass documents.
