Voluntary Separation Option (VSO)

We are pleased to offer to eligible employees an opportunity to participate in the UCSB Voluntary Separation Option (VSO). The purpose of the VSO is to promote salary savings by encouraging eligible employees to end their employment with the University and receive severance pay in accordance with their job title and years of service. The VSO participant agrees to not be reemployed by any University of California location for a period of 3 years, and his/her position is not filled for a period of 18 months after separation. The effective date of separation under this program is Friday, October 30, 2009.
